opportunity for more elective merit badges - UCR merit badge Fair
Registration opens today at 2pm for the UCR Merit Badge Fair put on by the UCR Chapter of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
On February 1, 2014 - 8a.m. to 5 p.m. - they are doing Electricity, Electronics, & Programming
On April 12, 2014 they are doing Energy, Engineering, and Robotics
As far as the requirements, the website says:
I sent an email to see if they could be more specific as to what requirements they will do at the fair. Each scout should download the Merit Badge workbook for each of the merit badges they are interested in. It is strongly advised that the workbooks be filled out as completely as possible before coming to the UCR Merit Badge Fair. Specific prerequisites need to be completed ahead of time.

- Scout Saturday opportunity for your son on Jan. 4 and March 8 2013. At Scout Saturday, the boys will be able to earn multiple merit badges which will help them in their advancement towards the Eagle Scout rank. Again, please email Eli asap if your son is planning to attend.
Court of Honor
We will hold our Court of Honor on Sunday Oct. 20 at 6:00 pm at the LDS Stake Center (350 Wabash Ave).
In the Boy Scouts of America a court of honor is a troop activity where scouts and their families can come together to get their awards, and have a good time. It is important for the scouts family members to be there for their scouts receiving his rank advancement, merit badges, and other awards. It is also important for eagle bound scouts to participate in a court of honor because it does count towards the Second Class Req. 3a and First Class requirement 3.0.
Even if your son has not earned any merit badges or rank advancements it is a good opportunity for him to see the next level of scouting. It may also provide him an opportunity to participate in the flag ceremony which is a requirement for advancement.
***All boys should be in scout uniforms.
